Before applying to Transfer Honors, review the Transfer Honors Curriculum. Please note that not all transfer students are eligible for Transfer Honors due to incompatible requirements in certain majors and colleges.

Transfer Honors Admission Criteria
To apply to Transfer Honors, you must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 at the time of application.
The DePaul University Honors Program practices a holistic admissions strategy; while we consider GPA, class rank, submitted test scores, and writing samples, the most important quality in a DePaul Honors student is a demonstrated passion for learning and a proven commitment to community involvement.
Honors classes are taught as in-person seminars, most of which take place on the Lincoln Park campus; thus, students who are in fully online degree programs are not eligible to participate in the Transfer Honors Program.
Apply to the Honors Program as soon as you are admitted to DePaul.

As space in the Honors Program is limited, we encourage students to apply as soon as they are admitted to DePaul.
Students who submit their Honors application by the final deadline will receive a decision letter within two weeks of applying.
