DePaul earns $500,000 to train K-12 special education teachers

DePaul’s College of Education is preparing teachers to meet these needs in Chicago Public Schools thanks to a nearly $500,000 Job Training and Economic Development Teacher Apprenticeship Program. The project, led by Amy Feiker Hollenbeck, chair of DePaul’s Department of Counseling and Special Education in the College of Education, for special education teaching assistants to earn licensure and ultimately lead a classroom of their own.
