Kyle Rezwin, Switzerland, December 2015
In December 2015, Honors Program junior Kyle Rezwin had the opportunity to participate in a two week-long International Business Seminar in Switzerland. This study abroad trip, based in the cities of Geneva and Zurich, focused on the many nonprofit and intergovernmental organizations that operate there. His group met with representatives from the United Nations, World Trade Organization, UNICEF, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), and ROKPA International. In addition, the trip included visits to the Red Cross Museum, University of Zurich, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, and a excursion to the Swiss Alps, among a number of other outings. An international business study abroad program fulfills both the Global Business Perspective requirement for business majors and the Junior Year Experiential Learning (JYEL) requirement, and is a great way for students to experience first-hand the history and culture of a foreign country.
