The successful applicant will establish an active independent research program that includes undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and upper-level courses in the Neuroscience Program in addition to courses aimed at non-science majors.     The department will consider candidates where responsibilities include teaching nine (quarter) classes per academic year (face-to-face and online modality) for both undergraduate and graduates students, holding office hours, and participating in general department activities.  

    The department will also consider candidates who will take a more active role in developing and growing our academic programs. In this capacity, administrative responsibilities can substitute for a portion of the teaching load. These administrative responsibilities would include:

    • Bridging the gap between industry and academics through building networks with industry professionals and organizations. DePaul’s vast alumni network and market position can be leveraged to create events, student internships, or networking opportunities.
    • Developing models for corporate outreach to expand curricular offerings. In participation with departmental and college leadership, the faculty member will present to corporate audiences our economic programs, as well as be involved in the college’s Corporate Education Opportunities programs.
    • Continuing to develop and innovate certificate programs offered by the Economics Department. The faculty member will provide input on curriculum and new course development to ensure the delivery of quality programs.

    A PhD is preferred, but candidates with a Master’s degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.

    The Chinese Studies Program at DePaul is an interdisciplinary program housed in the Department of Modern Languages. It aims to develop DePaul students’ Mandarin Chinese language proficiency and deeper understanding of Chinese society and culture as well as its relations to the world.  It offers four years of Mandarin Chinese language and literature courses by faculty in the Department of Modern Languages and a variety of China-related Studies courses taught in English by faculty in over ten disciplines.     The School of Nursing within the College of Science and Health is searching for a non-tenure track full-time faculty member for the 2021-2022 Academic Year who is able to teach students at the graduate level.

    Responsibilities include providing didactic and clinical instruction to nursing students primarily in the Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice program.  The faculty member is expected to engage in course development, updating and submission of course syllabi in required format, assessment of student outcomes, research and development of resources for instruction, and utilization and development of instructional design methods that include technology (e.g., simulation).     The Department of Political Science at DePaul University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure-track position with primary expertise in the fields of American Politics and Public Law.  Responsibilities will include teaching courses on American Institutions (the Presidency and Congress) and areas of Constitutional law and the judicial process.  The successful candidate will teach a variety of upper-division courses in these and related areas of specialization and also teach introductory American Government and Political Science courses.  In addition, the position will have administrative responsibilities overseeing the Department’s internship program.  The position will begin in the Fall Quarter of 2021.

    We seek a candidate with a commitment to high-quality teaching. The candidate will have additional responsibilities including curriculum development, and other service to the School. The minimum requirement for the position is a MS in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of professional experience in the field. Preference will be given to candidates who have, or are close to having, a PhD in Computer Science or related field as well as teaching experience.     The School of Nursing at DePaul University seeks to fill the position of Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor and Simulation Educator. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position. The Simulation Educator provides instruction and evaluation of basic and advanced nursing skills for all programs in the School of Nursing. The Educator is a member of the Nursing faculty and reports to the Director of the School of Nursing.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provides instruction during scheduled and open practice time in the Nursing Learning Laboratories
    2. Participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of student learning experiences that ensure the safe, effective best practice of nursing skills in the clinical laboratory
    3. Arranges workshops and other programs to address special learning needs of faculty and nursing students related to simulation and nursing skills
    4. Help ensures that Learning Lab equipment, supplies, computers, and audiovisuals are secure and maintained in good order
    5. Attends faculty meetings as necessary to support curricular and instructional needs
    6. Assists laboratory instruction for courses as needed
    7. Participates in committees
